Developing New Skills. It is very important for children to develop their fine motor skills. Most children do not even realize that by coloring they are accomplishing this task. Having children complete coloring projects and printable coloring sheets will help children with many skills that will be valuable later in life.
These days color by number printables come in a variety of artistic forms. You could choose among a number of cartoon characters and/or pets, cars and so on and so forth. If your son or daughter likes Lilo and Stitch, without doubts, you can find a lot of colour by number pages with the characters of that cartoon.
These coloring pages range from Disney characters to religious festivals. There are coloring pages available online on every conceivable topic you can think of. The primary stimulation to the brain they provide is that knowledge of colors. It is not merely colors that help but the kids get that aesthetic sense by the act of coloring. He starts to recognize the various shapes and forms. He also gets to know what are boundaries and lines.
I can recall vividly my father introducing me to coloring in sheets as a hobby, and now I am doing the same with my child. Never mind how the world changes, our children nowadays love to color in just as much as we did when we were young. Kids love to show off what they can do by using their paints on the coloring sheets you give them.
Other uses of color printing are mainly in the production of office documents that need to be circulated widely to an inattentive audience. These include business cards and job cards, usually made colorful to attract a client. The technology is also used in the production of title pages and back pages of paperbacks and other book forms. Business establishments use color printing for promotional and advertorial purposes by creating beautifully illustrated ads that capture the attention of the viewer.
Occasionally, you'll find official cartoon or TV character sites (such as PBS programs) will make available coloring pages for free to their fans. And there are many other sites that distribute coloring pages of those copyrighted characters. Sounds like dangerous legal ground ...but, surprisingly, I've never heard of any of these sites being prosecuted for copyright infringement. So they'll probably continue to make them available.
There are educational dinosaur coloring pages to learn dinosaur facts or learn the alphabet. What color do you think a Triceratops was? What about Parasaurolophus? Paleontologists are still learning what color dinosaurs really were so you can make them whatever color you like!
